Guy L. Snider, age 63 of Shirley, IN passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, IN.

He was born September 12, 1948 in Anderson, IN to the late Oak Clay and Lois Velma Snider.

Guy was an operating engineer with Local 103 at James H. Drew Corp in Indianapolis with 30 years of service, and enjoyed traveling the state of Indiana throughout his career. He loved spending time on his farm with his wife, children and grandchildren, and enjoyed get togethers with friends and family. His favorite past time was watching sports and grilling food with his best friend Rob Florea.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years Maude (Phelps) Snider, son; Aaron Snider of Shirley, daughter; Michelle Snider of Shirley, grandchildren; Kyra and Brant Snider of Fort Wayne, Chase Riggs of Shirley, sisters; Sharon (Ralph) Wales of Wilkinson, Charlotte (Neal) Melton of New Castle, Bonnie (Larry) Pritchard of Highland, TX., brothers; Floyd Snider of Aurora, Steve (Cyndi) Snider of Shirley, Phillip (Deanna) Snider of Shirley, Chris (Diane) Snider of Allen TX., several nieces and nephews and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Ivan Snider.

Funeral service will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson, with Ryan McCarty officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Friends may call at the Funeral Home Thursday, May 10, 2012 for 4-8 P.M.
